Gary Young | Publisher
Gary is one of the publishers that launched TheHomeMag Long Island in July 2017. Since then Gary has strived to make TheHomeMag Client base experience the best in the market.
“As TheHomeMag Long Island continues to grow, I’m able to watch our clients business grow and knowing that we have helped to achieve this, brings general pride to me.”
Keith Watson | Publisher
Started out from college in the UK and went straight out into retail banking in the late 1980’s. Next followed a switch in to investment banking in the early Nineties at JP Morgan’s London office, followed by a further stint at Citibank again in London but this time out in Canary Wharf.
20 Years flew by managing in to fit in marriage to pauline and two great kids – big move came when we relocated the family out to Florida in the spring of 2009 to get involved in the real estate and vacations rental world in the Sunshine state.
Fast forward to the summer of 2017 and a further expansion to open up the Long Island franchise of TheHomemag. ‘In opening any new business involves hard work, grit and determination are all needed and I believe I bring at least a couple of these qualities to the team’.
Brian Sullivan | Director of Advertising Parnerships
Having lived on Long Island most of his life, Brian brought this local knowledge of the area along with his extensive experience in Advertising & Media to TheHomeMag in June 2020. He has also renovated family homes in Babylon Village and the Village of Old Field and has a real passion for home improvement and real estate.
Brian is married 30 years to Donna - his HS Prom date! Their three children attended Ward Melville HS in Setauket and went on to receive their college degrees from Duke, Elon and Syracuse Universities.
Family connection, local knowledge of the home improvement space and a successful career in advertising lends itself well to Brian’s “consultative approach” to working with the owners of home improvement companies on the design and execution of their advertising and lead generation strategies.
Sally Young | Regional Marketing Manager
For close to three decades, I have been in the advertising and marketing field. I spent many years perfecting my craft and was part of the pioneering team at the start of TheHomeMag Long Island’s 1st issue back in 2017.
Spending the past couple of years in the home improvement industry has given me that extra edge and knowledge of what the homeowner is looking for and provides my clients with great ideas and insight.
I am proud to have raised a fantastic son who is a full-time teacher in the New York City school district. Born and raised in Queens, New York, I made my way to Long Island and have lived here ever since 1983.
I am truly excited to be part of the TheHomeMag family once again and look forward to continuing to grow Long Island’s best improvement magazine.
Derek Palmer | Graphic Designer
Derek joined TheHomeMag in the Long Island market in January 2018 as a Graphic Designer. He has won awards both within the company, and outside of it.

Pauline Watson | Administrative Support
Pauline began her career with TheHomeMag in July 2017, joining the team in the Accounting and Finance division.
There is a misnomer that accounting personnel cannot show empathy with clients while managing the financial component of the business. Pauline is the shining example of exactly how to care for and work with clients without sacrificing her core skills. She is a true ambassador of who we are at TheHomeMag and her clients truly respect and appreciate her..
